it's the contrary crews ace card for the minute.

I remember, even during our most successful season since SAF, the same crew were saying they'd sooner not win a trophy than watch Mourinho's style of football. Now they're happy to not win stuff playing even worse football.

Oh how we mocked Wenger for bigging up fourth.

The fact it's actually open at the top makes matters worse imo.

We could challenge this season if we had a proper manager and coaches.

And yet here he still is; Man Utd’s number nine. And we wonder why we’re shit.
You said we’re 7 points back....but we’re 7 points back from a team that has played a game more than us. At this stage of the season, I think it’s daft to get too caught up in positions and points back etc. But if playing a game less when there’s only been 9 games in total is a pretty big caveat if you’re gonna go down that route.

You're right, but I think you're wasting your time.

If Liverpool played shit and manage to scrape a 1-0 win then they'd be saying that winning games like that is what top teams do, and saying that they wish we could do that. Then we do it and it's the worst thing ever and the sky's falling down.

We won the game ffs, at the end of the season no-one is going to look back on the fixture and deduct 2 points because Martial was a bit of a lazy @#%&!.

When you’re 7 points back from teams playing significantly better than you are, what’s more likely to happen? Then it gets to double figures, then fifteen and rather than talk about about proximity to the top we start talking about how shit Arsenal are and how we’ll get fourth if we go on a decent run.

Tell the truth, would you go into a game against West Ham atm confident of a win? We might, but it’s just as likely 2-0 them. We can’t keep following decent performances with dross and talk about being in touch with the best teams with a straight face.

Anyone who thinks we are Top 4 material this season needs their head looking at.

The only way we get even close is by.....

1) Sticking with a midfield trio of Bruno, McTommers and Fred. The BMFs.

2) Playing de Beek in the front 3 as often as possible.

We're mediocre. There's no magic bullet.

We're capable of putting results together though, we proved that last season

But we had next to no preseason and lost 5 weeks or so to internationals. It isn't a surprise we've had a shit start

It’s not about the points it’s about the performances and form. Everyone trying to spin positives will soon do a HomerBush gif when what’s most likely to happen happens and the world just keeps going round and round, same shit every year. ‘Below par’..’must do better’..’need a reaction’...’not good enough for Man Utd’..blah blah blah.

I seriously don’t know how anyone can look at the relative performances this weekend and hold out hope because it’s only x points. We were garbage.

Even simple things like pressing properly. You watch Mane yesterday and the way he was pressing Schmeichel and Leicester’s back line, forcing them to boot it out of play and give back possession. Then you watch Martial’s effort at a ‘press’; it’s laughable. I think our opposition defenders just ignore him. Small things done well help win games.
Martial scores some lovely goals when he on form, the problem is when hes not on form he doesn't score the ugly tap ins that come from putting in the effort to get into the box time after time.

At the moment we aren't a good enough team to carry passengers, every player has to be giving 100% in every game for us to be competitive let alone challenging for silverware

Well, our game in hand is against Burnley, away. So yes, I would back happy to win that 9/10.

Spurs are flavour of the month at the moment - have you seen their fixtures? Away to Chelsea, Palace and Liverpool, home to Arsenal & Leicester in their next 5 games.

I would be willing to put money on the fact we will be within that game in hand of them after those 5 games.

I'll go out on a limb and say that this sort of stuff was being posted after 9 games last season as well.

Long way to go yet. No idea where we'll finish, but the same goes for all teams this season because it's mental atm. But the amount of doom coming out now after winning a game is bizarre.

I'm not sure you know how league football works pal.

Ok listen, if I concede the pre-season was shit, and covid is shit, and no fans is shit, and internationals are shit, and Martial is rusty, can we please stop talking about this garbage at some point? We’re 12 games in and just put in one of the most boring, inept toothless performances I’ve seen from anyone this season. We still going to be talking about relative pre seasons at Christmas?

Yeah and we ended up only losing the league by 30+ points.

There’s no point talking to you, you’re a dunce.

If Martial puts that early chance away it's a different game.

Same issues, as mentioned, Martial is just not that good and Rashford is inconsistent.

You're clueless pal. 1-0 flattered West Brom in the end. I know you don't want to hear it, but tough shit. We had 2/3rds of the possession, twice as many shots at goal and three times as many shots on target. If it wasn't for some fantastic West Brom goalkeeping and defending then it would've been more. Soz.

Before internationals the team that are currently top of the table got hammered by the same West Brom team and scabbed a late winner thanks to some utterly shit defending. That same weekend we took an Everton team that are riding high apart away from home. Soz.

We win our game in hand we're 4 points from the top, despite our torrid home form before the weekend just gone. Soz.

Absolute state of your pissy bed today after winning at the weekend.

neither martial nor rashford is really a centre-forward. and the guy people seem to want to see looks like he was dug up at pompeii. we seem to have a lot of players who are not specialists, but just float around a bit, expected to chip in with crosses, dribbling, goals, etc. it's total football without the focus. or the skills. or the football. the one thing that you'd think ole could teach them is getting in the £#%&!ing box at the right time. although you can count the number of decent crosses in the last 12 months on one hand.

when you have mediocre players, you need to be well organised. we seem to think we have the talent to be beyond systems or effort. pogba didn't play, but we're all pogba.

you're less likely to be disappointed if you approach every game with the attitude that they can all £#%&! off.

Cavani needs to start playing games now. He is the only out and out striker we have.
