Conceded a late equaliser at Southampton today. Saints with 60% possession, more shots. Some people said when he was United manager that he'd stop playing long ball negative football once he has players to build from the back ... like Alderweireld

People are rarely 100% right or wrong, and there was some truth to what Mourinho said about this club for sure, however the one thing you’ll never hear from a narcissist like him is what part he played in it.

You could pretty much make a whole team out of just Mourinho buys, so why does it always get presented as something we did to him rather than he did to us? Why do we constantly hear from van Gaal about how he was treated rather than why his buys didn’t work? If they were more honest then maybe their whining would be more believable.

But even SAF bought some duds - nobody is infallible.

A whole team? In two and a bit years? That were worse than the team before he joined?

He took that team to three cup finals in two seasons and finished 2nd with our highest points total since SaF retired.

Needed time etc?..

He did some good and some bad. He was right about some things and wrong about others. Very few people are either totally good or bad; Mourinho’s problem was his personality and the fact that, at the time of his dismissal, we were sinking like a stone and his relationships with too many people at the club had become untenable.

I hated the sour-faced, joyless @#%&! and was delighted when he finally went

I'd have him back any day, that's how much faith I have in our current 'manager'

Initially built on LvG's work by adding the striker and creativity LvG never got chance to in Zlatan, Pogba and Mkhitaryan and ruined it over time.

Is Mkhitaryan still playing for Arsenal? He was like a lukewarm version of Di Maria; couldn’t even despise him as much, but definitely as ineffective.

Was decent that first season, loved the Europa.

Another one Mourinho made a concerted effort to undermine and ruin from his debut onwards, still had a decent scoring/assist record and bagged in the EL final.

Went assist mad beginning of his second season before Mourinho blamed him for losing to City(?) and basically began digging him out of the club.

Think that was in their first season tbf and he came back from that to be a regular in the side that went on to win the Europa.

The city defeat was his first season.

If you want to claim that Mou undermined him from the beginning that's one thing, but Miki was a fanny from the second he got here to the second he left. He couldn't even hack it at Arsenal which is the ultimate destination for soft @#%&!s.

There was a game second season, when he had about 8 assists early doors, Mou dragged him off and he was barely seen again.

Not sure pal?

Looks like he had five assists early on (first three games of the season) and not eight.

Possibly the Huddersfield game in late October?

Didn’t he have a breakdown at halftime and refuse to go back on against City? I’m sure that was the story going round at the time. Iirc Mourinho was praised at the time for easing him into the team, before eventually he just turned out to be that fragile.
