He will most likely be on 'the list' that Mourinho put together, given the consistent links.

I'd guess he's one of three options in that defensive midfield role, with the other two being Matic and Fabinho.

Really hope Fabinho is the one that we get; he seems a much more complete footballer than the other two.

Limited alright but does the job. Bit like a German Shepherd dog. "On guard" is all you get. No 3 of 3 options, you'd think.

I just don't see what it is why top pundits rate him so high. My son raves about him and says he would be great for us. I'm not so sure and I doubt Spurs will let him go anyway.

When he scored that goal for England last year I had no idea who he was or who he played for

Would be a hell of a message to Eriksen, Kane, Alli, Alderweireld etc

Sure he may not be Spurs' best player but it'll once more make quite clear that Spurs will always be a feeder club to us and that the rest of the guys need to get ready for 2018. Maybe Alli if he keeps developing.

50 mill for Dier

Is he even better than Herrera as a DM?

Come on Jose there are much better options out there

The very fact that United have been briefing this will enrage Levy. There'll be no deal below £70m.

Red herring - Jose is playing a blinder this summer.

It's like that Clint Eastwood film where no-one knows whose side he's on or what he's up to.
