Question How much bearing will tomorrow's game have on the title race?

I know people say pre-season friendlies don't matter, but we lost nearly all of them under Moyes and look how that worked out.

Given there's no points up for grabs I'd say none whatsoever

Lose this game and we may as well forfeit all our points and start the following season in the championship

Captain reality more like. Aside from the Leicester anomaly and Chelsea's players downing tools...when was the last time a team was loitering around 7th, 4th, 5th, 6th and then suddenly jumped into title winners?

Liverpool went from 7th to challenging for the title.

So it's 3 out of the past 4 years that teams have jumped from nowhere to 1st/2nd

Leicester only won it because Jose's champs spit the dummy and then Jose's team won it the year after. Now, we've got Jose.

Yes apart from the two times in the last 3 years that it's actually happened. You know, the ones in your post.
