Nope not forgetting at all

Also had to announce Keanes cruciate to the stock exchange iirc

Fergie got who he wanted in the main though, Manchester weather permitting

Not advocating public ownership going forward either, talking about had we still been. In that model

The point is with no debt the club generates enough cash to buy big and not
Blag FFP. Doesn’t need a State owner

Very much this. The Ferie/Gill/Edwards trio usually got their man. Batistuta, ZZ, etc apart, due to the own preferences. Edwards took a salary iirc and the club supported itself incl stadium, signings etc. transfer fees have risen, as have player wages but so has revenue.

We will cope under Jim. He can take a salary and will have a growing asset.

And a sustainable one. If the Middle East owners ever get bored or even fall out with the uk politically then city and Newcastle will be playing gillingham in 2nd division play off finals again.

It’ll happen eventually

We might be very old men when it does but it’ll happen.

Surely once it’s out there (and pretty much everyone in sports business and their dog would know) United are for sale , we don’t need to advertise it?

It’s probably an attraction for sponsors and such .

Definitely a sponsor thing, you’re not going to randomly get Jeff Bezos walking in to a shopfront and being persuaded to launch a takeover bid like he’s signing up for a Next card.

it's actually an interesting point. i know (knew) a few who would be more than conflicted if jim fixes it...

suspect they'd argue though it wasn't just about the glazers. a lot of the gripes were about 'modern football', sky TV, jesters hats etc etc...

His money would have come in useful for fixing that leak in the south stand.

Glazers were the straw that broke the camels back particularly for the older reds who had seen things change wholesale. Not sure what “people’s true colours coming out” refers to, there isn’t a day that goes by on here where people don’t decry the state of modern football. It’s one thing putting up with mistreatment and mismanagement at the club when like nofun you paid a penny farthing to get in, a bit different when it’s £150 for a day out and that’s if you’re within Greater Manchester.

The Glazer’s last spiteful parting gift would be to sell to Ratcliffe instead of Dubai.

You'd imagine it will be highest bidder and that's that. Jim can't compete with the dubai guys
