Pluses

A few Crucifixions and beheadings will at least bring a bit of spice and colour to Warwick Road

Mates rates for Bin Laden construction to rebuild the stadium

Downside

Going to be a bit awkward when our new overlords are bankrolling the next terrorist attack in the UK blowing up innocent civilians

Still it'll be worth it to easily afford 500k a week for some footballing mercenary to prop up the forward line I suppose
I should agree with you and on an intellectual level I still do, but football as we knew it is pretty much dead anyway.

At least them buying us would boil a lot of ABU piss

Plus, if they keep Ashley Young at the club, they can always play the 'mentally unwell' defence card and get off the hook.

Maybe it was the woman at the head of the takeover that he kissed on the train.

The club are listed on the NYSE. If anyone wanted to buy the club, they could do the same as the Glazers: buy the available shares (which at $16, down on the $26 peak and not much more than the $14 IPO price). They can do that relatively secretly through an investment vehicle. Only when more than 9.9% ownership do they have to make a statement of intent.

Baron Capital own about 9.2% which any buyer could agree to acquire privately. There's about another 15% in various owners and the Glazers were supposedly selling another 15% for £320M.

The shares available have no voting rights and aren't the same shares needed to buy the club iirc.
