George Best

My mum worked down the street where his clothes shop was. Bridge Street I think. This must be mid 70s.
One day she was walking past his place when he stepped out in front of her & she asked for his sig for me. Must still have it somewhere.

Makes me £#%&!ing cry watching this when i think about the pair of absolute £#%&!ing wastemen we have in central midfield these days.

I mean just watch him. Absolutely peerless. One of the most gifted players to ever play the game.

tbf, you could say the same of any team, but.... yes.

we've been blessed with midfielders. but not recently.
