Fergie's not apparantly bothered by this weeks little controversy.

He hardly ran to the Press, he was interviewed for about 30 seconds in the tunnel after the England game.
Anyone would think he'd done a 4-page NOTW exclusive.

As Fergie himself has said today "it's water off a duck's back"

I think a few people (not you) have been looking forward to this opportunity to stick the boot in to Rooney. nqat.

Personally, I think if the manager says you’re injured, the player in question goes along with it. Saying otherwise was stupid and only caused more scrutiny and media interest, which is the last thing Rooney should be encouraging.

Also, this story is a great opportunity to wind you up

I don't disagree with that.
Rooney was either deliberately controversial, or just a bit thick & forgot about the cover story.
Not sure which tbh.
Either way he's having a shocking few months on & off the pitch.

It doesn't wind me up that much ...I just feel protective of the silly scouse sod! ...I think he's a fantastic Footballer & I love seeing him play for United.
There's nothing quite like a Rooney goal (:gayfight ...just something about the "£#%&!ing get in!" nature of his goals & his all round game that appeals to me as a fan.
There are no homoerotic undertones in my admiration, I can assure you of that.

I honestly can't look anyone in our team in the eye right now.

It really does feel like that at the minute doesn't it?!
The resentment towards so many of the current Squad is breathtaking.

It's all a bit over the top innit.

Rooney could do with being quiet and scoring a coupla goals but that's about it really innit?

3 up front and two attacking full backs? don't think it's defensive in the least, all depends on intent really i suppose.

it will probably be o'shea at full back, park on the left and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

There is no need for 3 in the middle at home vs West Brom. I'd be surprised if Fergie opted for it.

Not sure that that team and that formation with Fletcher in for Anderson is our best team, but I like it with those players

Your trouble comes with having a player with no attacking ability whatsoever playing "in the hole" behind Berbs I think.

that said, it's the same team I picked.
