Brighton's Withdean Stadium might be the worst. It's mean to be an athletics ground, to be fair.

Anyway, back to proper grounds:

The Maracana. Surely the most immense stadium in the world, if not in capacity then in dimensions?

Great idea. Throw in South Africa, we'll catch the Soweto derby between Pirates and Chiefs.

Maracana, Azteca & Estadio Da Luz are all great shouts. Fulfilled an ambition of mine by seeing United play at the Camp Nou this season, which was cool.

Surprised the San Siro hasn't been put up. By far the best stadium in Italy.

The 'other' Marakana, home of Red Star Belgrade.

Kind of shit, if we're honest.

AXA Arena, Sparta Prague.

The spiritual home of Fred Tissue FC.

I don't think they get big crowds now, mainly due to all the violence. But it looked £#%&!ing top again Bayern in the 1991 European Cup semi final. Think they had something like 80,000, crazy atmosphere.

Speaking of Bayern Munich, I always liked the old Olympic Stadium they played in. Not fond of grounds with athletics tracks round them, but that place looked class.

It had that unneccesarily complicated roof that looked like a giant bat trying to swallow the city. I liked it too.
