He didn't break it during his 12th, it was his 13th.

Everton last week was his 12th consecutive clean sheet. The 1st game (which VDS conceded in) was Arsenal away.

right, he broke the minutes record for the prem in the 12th game and the minutes record and consecutive games record in his 13th as far as league games goes

but whose british record did woods break for consecutive games in all comps?

Steve Death?

"In all competitions" is only included in the wording in Woods's case because he DID play some Cup games. I don't think NOT playing Cup games would disqualify anyone from the record, as in the case of Death.

This is more complicated than physics.

From the Sunday Times, Jan 25th 1987

Quote:
CHRIS WOODS, No 2 to Peter Shilton in the England set-up, made himself the envy of goalkeepers everywhere yesterday when Glasgow Rangers' 0-0 draw against Aberdeen enabled him to equal the British record of 12 successive matches without conceding a goal, established by Aberdeen's Bobby Clark in the 1970-71 season.

What's all this %@#$&!s about "British" records ?

English clubs don't play in a British league, so why should there be any British records ?

It's either an English record or a World record.

Who gives a £#%&! what happens in some £#%&!ing inbred footballing backwater ?

Good point. It's like when people refer to footballer facts and include Britain and Ireland. Isn't France nearer than Ireland? It should be English, European, World.
