Football Our remaining fixtures

Spurs (A)
West Brom (H)
Wolves (A)
Fulham (H)
Blackburn (A)
QPR (H)
Wigan (A)
Villa (H)
Everton (H)
City (A)
Swansea (H)
Sunderland (A)

It is difficult to predict whether not we'll turn up for all/any of these games but surely they are all games we are capable of winning? What are the chances of us hitting some real form like the start of the season and pissing this?

I thought that if we were within 6 points after the spurs game we'd win it....worse case scenario now is 5

(Ajax aside) we're in excellent form. We've won our last 5 in the league.

The problem is City have an equally easy run in:

Bolton (H)
Swansea (A)
Chelsea (H)
Stoke City (A)
Sunderland (H)
Arsenal (A)
West Brom (H)
Norwich (A)
Wolves (A)
Man Utd (H)
Newcastle (A)
QPR (H)

If we beat Spurs, we'll really be putting the pressure on them. Lose and it's a big mountain to climb. The derby is going to be epic.

Swansea, Stoke, Arsenal and Newcastle away?

Might be a blessing for us that Stoke out of the Europa if they can get a result against them at home.

I love how we've both got "easy" run ins against half the teams in the league. Best league in the world nqat

Stoke have been shit this season. Swansea and Newcastle are fading. Arsenal away is similar to Spurs away.

They get to play us at their ground. The run-ins are pretty similar. They obviously have a massive advantage by playing at home in the derby.

These fixtures are why next week is crucial. If we can win, we'll remain within striking distance and I don't fancy City to get maximum points out of that lot. Meanwhile, we have:

West Brom (H)
Wolves (A)
Fulham (H)
Blackburn (A)

during the same run.

If we can avoid defeat next weekend, I'll be confident we can claw back to at least level with them within these four games and hopefully ahead of them by the time we face them in April.

On paper () that looks harder than ours. Swansea away, Chelsea at home, Stoke away, Arsenal away, even Norwich and Wolves away won't be that easy. Then us which is obviously going to be [SIZE="4"]massive. Newcastle away could be a tough one with them maybe pushing for a European place and being their last home game of the season.

But, after all's said and done- comparing run in's normally prooves £#%&!ing pointless as we'll both drop points when we don't expect it. But it has to be done, all part of it, innit

If we don't finish ahead of Liverpool it will be a huge shame

Even if we do win the league this year, nothing comes close to winning the Carling Cup on penalties unfortunately.

points dropped at blackburn and sunderland. Loss to spurs, big loss at city.
at least one draw against the dross teams at home.

City will win it by about 9 points.

It's very easy to look at the fixtures and just say 'easy, hard, easy' (like the Par League ) etc, but it depends on bottle, pressure and how it all pans out. How many titles have been decided in the last few years by some stupid home draw or winning a supposedly harder fixture? I think back to 2007 when we went to Everton and Chelsea were at home to Bolton. Home banker v very tough away match, but that turned out to be the pivotal day in our favour. We came back from 2 down, this filtered through to Chelsea and they fluffed their lines against Bolton. The nature of the games played their part, rather than just the wins themselves. In short, you just don't know!

(And yes, I'm aware I've just listed some fixtures with a view to a twist! )

agreed. I guess we'll soon find out if City can live upto the "been there before" requirements we have prided ourselves on this last 15 years or so. My concern is that although we have been there etc we don't seem to have that mentality like we have had in previous seasons. That unless we can rely on Scholes and Giggs for every game in the run in

It's hard to predict games late in the season as some matches that should be difficult are often easy because the team has switched off with nothing left to play for. Others are impossible because teams are fighting for survival and every point to them matters.

Blackburn and Wolves away have 'banana skin' written all over them.
