Thought Metzelder could have done a bit more to try and get back and give himself a chance to slide & intercept the shot, rather stop and watch.

honestly thought Beckenbauer could have gotten off his 'Arsch' and got a tackle in too.

In his defence, I thought it showed great mental strength to come back immediately after getting screwed for Turkey's goal to go straight up the other end and score a brilliant goal.

While in the past, Wes's mind has wandered, his concentration is much better now. It's not meant to knock Essien, who is a superb player in his proper role- which isn't in defence.

Yes. In the CL final Essien was exposed time and time again down that left wing. He's not a clue what he's doing there.
