Because you don’t buy them in a specific order, you buy them as the situation makes them available. This bloke has a release clause only active in July for a reasonable fee, so it seems perfectly feasible that he could arrive before players clubs don’t want to sell for who negotiations will drag out. Plus, if they wait until Maguire leaves to identify and move for his replacement that would be a bit silly.

I definitely don’t disagree about midfielders and attackers. Need about 5 across the 2 areas minimum, imo. And the keeper is the most important of the lot. It’s ridiculous to try and use the order in which the players are available/deals can be done as a stick to beat the manager though.

This guy is supposed to be a beast, is available at a knock-down price due to a short-lived buy-out clause, and is another man united fan. Probably loved Dong as a child.
Varane needs rotating a lot. This guy can do that and take over from Varane. It's another no-brainer. This guy and the Atalanta kid are golden because they support the club. You'll always get 100%. City can't do deals like this because no @#%&! anywhere supports them really. They can only buy mercenaries and pay them two salaries etc. Might not seem a big thing now, but it'll pay dividends in the future. |

Always felt a strange one this. Lots of noise from Italy, but not from our end.
As much as I’m sure he’d like a new CB, it’s not the priority that other areas are. With our budget, we’re limited to 3 signings: STRIKER MIDFIELD GK Those have to be the priority. The rest come from sales and will be potentially later signings: CB LEFT FORWARD/STRIKER ANOTHER MIDFIELDER |

If Bayern turn up & offer €5m now & Napoli accept, it would be quite a snubbing to lose him should we think the deal is done in principle with him / his agent etc. Summer's last longer than a Sting £#%&! these days due to the transfer window & speculation |
