If we beat them it will be by the skin of our teeth as ever there.

As always I’d happily take a boring 0-0 and just move into the next game.

Or a nice 0-0 until injury time and awb pops up with a winner like O’Shea and Rio did.

I don't believe they've turned the corner, they've beaten a very poor Everton team who they always beat and then beat a Newcastle team who have been running on empty for a while and were actually the better team when they had 10 men.

That Spanish lad has given them a bit of energy in midfield and their forwards are finding their feet, but they’re still all over the place at the back. There still not right and you can get at them.. Very little margin for error for them from this point too. Huge tie against Madrid. Still got us, Arsenal and Spurs to come to Anfield and they’ve got to go to the Etihad.

They’re leaving themselves a lot to do.

They really need top four because they’ll be screwed without new owners. If (big if) we get Qatari money and Newcastle or Spurs pip them for 4th.

Beat them and we’ll finish them off for the foreseeable. Europa nights. Less income. Having to start all over again but with much more competition.

Huge game. We can Souness them for years.

Theyre still average even with Van Dijk back, their midfield lacks quality, invention and energy.

We will overwhelm them at Anfield.

Aye. Van Dijk has been one of their biggest issues this season. They’re acting like him missing is the cause of their form. They were losing at home to Leeds with him there (and at fault).

That midfield has always lacked invention, but they were never short of energy and they hit those forwards quickly. Fabinho and Henderson don’t have the legs any more and they miss Mane. Salah not really at it either.

Good to have you back, Saffers 👍

Good to see you again sir.

Yeah they were in poor form even before the van Dijk injury.

It is seriously important for us to win that game. Like Atty says, Souness them for years. If they miss out on CL this summer it is very, very signficant....

The things we will do them at Anfield. If this Madrid side struggling for form and missing key players like Kroos, Tchouameni, Mendy etc can do this to them. Imagine what we will..

We need to go for their throat. Great opportunity to win comfortably at Anfield. Early goal and theyll collapse.

They'll have to go back to picking up risky transfers from the likes of Southampton and Hull. Only now, without the transfer team that did it last time.
