Was good enough to build and focus a whole team around him at pretty much every club but 2. Ended up going to one of them.

Wonderful player, his technique is massively underrated, he was an absolute joy to watch at his peak & gutted he didn't come to United.
He was given the full treatment, I knew the guy who worked for Woodward down in the Utd office in Mayfair & he was treated like royalty. If Madrid had pulled out or anything had happened to change the outcome he would have been a Utd player. He'll not regret a thing tbh looking at his medal haul & bank balance. Fair play to him. I hope we can find the next Bale, Utd should always have a player of his ilk in the shirt. |
