Our fans are weird when talking about Liverpool, pretty much in the same spot we are in the league, yet they're marching away with the title after 5 games while we're having serious discussions about our manager
They were written off by a few pundits, at least in terms of the title. I got a load from Bellers for suggesting them have city have been dominant for the last few years and they weren’t just going to go away.

Yep, they fell apart last season, mid-season, then got their shit together and won 7 of their last 9.

It was drama-free in the sense that they manage difficult parts of the game end up winning comfortably. They’ve won 3-0 three times and 2-0 once. We rarely do that. We had 4 games last season where we scored without reply:

1-0 Burnley
1-0 Wolves
2-0 City
9-0 Southampton

It was a point of discussion earlier in the week. Chelsea have won 3-0 twice and 2-0 once. They’re the ‘bread and butter’ results that titles are built on and we don’t produce enough of them.

I think the only people being ‘weird’ about them are the ones who STILL don’t acknowledge that they actually might be quite good.

Nobody is suggesting they’ll run away with either, so I don’t even know why you’re saying that. We’re talking performances and how games are managed. So far we’ve seen our qualities, but also our chaotic nature. It’s something we need to work on before we can be considered serious challengers IMO.

Bailey came on at 0-0, damn near scored direct from a corner, faint touch from Digne took it in, then scored a belter, got booked and has now gone off injured at 3-0. Was on the pitch about 20 minutes

MotM for 21 minutes work

Liverpool have a much better manager than us. Thats probably why some people are worried.

I don't think they have it in them to win the league though, squad too thin. Chelsea head to head more than matched them with just 10 men. Chelsea rightly favourites for the league.

Imagine January and february when both salah and mane disappear for 6 weeks. Knowing Klopp he will not invest.

So is the afcon still in the middle of the season? Why did I think they’d recently moved it to when the league seasons finished?

Ah that’s why then.

Hopefully it goes ahead and they lose Salah and Mane for a few games.
