Default Enjoyable Moments From This Season

I fully expect to be told to "f*** off" for trying to highlight some positive moments from a season that even our manager has described as unsuccessful, but with the shit finish to the year I'd forgotten that there was a period during the middle of the season I found very enjoyable.

The last couple of months have been a slog, and I've been looking forward to the season ending pretty much since we lost to Leicester in the FA Cup. However, here are some things that happened in the season that were pretty good. If we can repeat them, or have moments like this when fans are back in the stadium, there will be goons to be had.

Getting a penalty after the final whistle

Beating PSG in Paris...
and smashing Leipzig before we f***ed up in Instanbul.

Cavani "arriving" in a comeback at Southampton

Welcoming Leeds back to the Premier League

Rashford's last minute winner vs. Wolves and feeling like it may be "ON"

Going top in the New Year for the first time since Fergie.

Knocking Liverpool out of the FA Cup, while top of the Premier League

The (joint) biggest win the history of the Premier League

Comfortably beating City at the Etihad to end their winning running

Scott The Scottish Player assaulting Son, playing well and sealing Jose's fate

Ole gets it wrong in the Europa League part #1

Cavani giving fans one thing to cheer as they return to Old Trafford

Some children beat Wolves

It’s not been that bad. Losing like we did against who we did last week is always going to have a disproportionate impact.

Some nice moments there albeit ultimately not that important.

The derby win was good but we used to laugh at city fans for bringing that up when we were winning titles.

It’s one for the bin imo. The Moyes season had better moments than this one.

Completely agree, but it was the first time in a long time I'd had (misplaced) hope we'd do something. I genuinely thought we had a chance of challenging for the title when Liverpool were flagging and City didn't look like going on a 28 game winning run.

It amounted to nothing, but there was a period when I felt good about the club for the first time in a while.

The Moyes season is a complete blur to me, so I'll take your word for that. I remember being happy for a couple of minutes when Evra scored, and Gerrard did a slip if I'm thinking of the right season.

The PSG away win should have meant something, so should the home to Leipzig. Beating Liverpool in the cup is great if you’re winning the cup.

The lows/embarrassment of the Moyes season were much worse.

Was probably an overstatement but the point is that every good game this season felt like it was cancelled out with a shit one.

And that cost us at least a point, very possibly three. If not more, if you think the Leicester result might have also been different.

But yeah, it was still a great day

Probably rivals the Liverpool protest.

We still got second. Maybe it slightly altered the trajectory of our season but I don't want a load of europa cups listed on our wiki pages. I'd prefer if a team goes of the cl then that's that tbh.

It's such a shameful comp.

Imagine you went out early in the Europa and they made you play the europa conference.

Sometimes just having no extra europe games is worth it. Stop trying to force midweek teams on everyone all the time. Talking to uefa not ric btw.
