De Gea is off? Where to? Who on earth is paying him the wages he's currently on?

De Gea’s performance against Roma got us to the final to be fair to him. Not his fault Pogba, Bruno et al couldn’t score more than one against “The Spanish Burnley”.

I was going to say, the game midweek should never have got to penalties. Walking pace football, more shit in game management from Ole, and a no show from some key players cost United.

Sky making a case for De Gea on their YouTube channel.

Shame that outside of unbelievable shot-stopping ability he offers £#%&! all.

Also, the video didn't include the mata free kick save, his best imo. Or was that not in the league?

He used to be good and now he isn’t. The end.

Settle, we were about 9-4 up from the first leg.

Good deflection away from the outfield performance in the final. Part on Ole, part on the players on the pitch.

No, he’s comparing the circumstances: Leighton had done well for us, but needed dropping for the good of the team.

This isn’t just about a penalty shootout in a final, this has been a decline spanning three seasons. He was making howlers towards the end of Ole’s first season and has continued to do so. He hasn’t gone a handful of games in the last 3 years without £#%&!ing up.

He’s had countless chances and been shown a lot of faith and only recently been dropped. It should have happened long before. He came back in and was given more chances in the Europa, and let us down again when it really mattered.

He should have been jettisoned out after that appalling display in the Fa cup semi final last season. Playing him beyond that and certainly up to now is just misguided faith.

He looked like a little girl in goal for those pens. At no point did you think he’d save one. And he hadn’t done for three years. That’s totally misguided faith.

He used to be good and that was a long time ago. He’s finished for us.

re. De Gea - I'd be interested to see if Atleti wanted him back in a cash + player swap for Oblak.

His Mrs has had a kid & he's in Manchester, he won't be getting any better at concentrating while he's here.

Henderson looks like he is a good solid PL keeper, but not in the top 'keepers in world football which is where we need to be to win the prizes we covet. Sell him for £30m to someone like Spurs & repurpose that on top of De Gea for the above to get Oblak.

The lack of penalty saves from him is a bit perplexing. There’s roughly a 1 in 9 chance of him saving a penalty by pure chance alone. I could understand if he had flimsy hands or something but generally speaking he makes some good point blank saves from shots with a lot of power.

I think the idea of needing a world class GK to win things is a bit misleading. I think we just need a good GK, he doesn’t need to be in the top 3.

Liverpool have won the league and champions league with allison Chelsea have won the champions league with Mendy .

We just need a decent one . Maybe Henderson can be that keeper he has shown good signs and bad. If we are prepared to let Henderson work his way into a top keeper then we need patience .

He just looks £#%&!ing lame stood there. Obviously it’s on the taker to score and some he can’t get near, but he just looked like nothing stood there. A couple he just committed to really early as well. Crap.

I remember an interview with Gerrard a while back talking about how he hated taking pens against van der sar. Said he’d touch tje crossbar, but his arms out and the goal just shrunk. Might as well have had a £#%&!ing coat hanger swinging from the bar in that final. And he was weak as piss for their goal too.

I remember de gea saving a pen ( may have been a couple seasons ago) where he finally saved it and it had to be retaken as he came off his line.

Personally I think it’s best for both parties to split, us to stop having a 300k a week GK who makes 5 or 6 big mistakes a season and himself ,where his GF has just given birth in Spain and he would want to be with the child.

Donnarumma looks like he's signing for PSG, double kick in the %@#$&!s as he'd be perfect for us and they could've taken Dave

Reports of Barca missing out on donnarumma, opens the door for de gea to go to Spain or even Italy . Everybody outside of PSG Man City and Chelsea are broke though.

Even Barcelona , Madrid and juve who spend big are plotless. De gea will need to reduce demands and we need to accept anything of around 35 mill plus

I don't know why Barca were even linked with him, they've got Ter Stegen and he's got years left in him.

£#%&! him and his fat agent. He'd be off in two years anyway.
