Not liking the look of the attacking options on that bench. Shit time for Cavani and Martial to both get knocks. Come on you reds

Surprised to see Shaw back, but other than that the team I expected. 1-1

The Donny mystery continues.

Solid team.

I think we’ll be ok.

not surprised Donny is on the bench and Ole going with Matic and McT because we don't have to win to advance but they do

keep it solid and tight for 70 plus minutes and see how it plays out with the front 3 on the counter

Feels like such a big night this.

Single games shouldn’t make a whole season, but this feels like the difference between us having a good start or a bad and Ole progressing us or putting his job under more scrutiny.

If ever there was a moment for this team to ‘arrive’, it’s this week

Thumbs up

Good to see Shaw back. L-Sheezy.

I despise how the line-ups on Twitter are listed in order of squad number instead of position.

Might actually go as far and say I'd be tempted to put that in the 'things you're unreasonably intolerant about' thread.

Yup, on paper we have had a decent start to the season but it feels super fragile. Tonight will be a giant statement if we get through.

Shaw straight back in is pretty surprising tbh but other than that it’s as expected

I like it when we play 5 at the back and think we’ve got a decent record when playing that formation?

Does a draw see us through?

Same.

First thought was

“Rashford as the third centre back? Ole out!”

I’m not sold on that lineup

Odd game to throw Shaw in from injury and Matic is slow and immobile playing against a rapid RB team hmmmm...

Van de Beek off the bench might be a good option if we are struggling but damnnnnn I’m not confident

I think we’ll be lethal on the counter

1-3 to us

Tonight could very well be Greenwood's 'Benfica 66' moment.

I want to see us go about it with a bit of confidence and self belief. The most frustrating thing about some of the big wins we get is that they are so often followed up by an insipid, passive display. Like we’ve gained nothing from it. These comeback wins, climbing up the table, breaking away records must SURELY start to get some genuine self belief in there. Not just a handful of good moments in games, but a real feeling that they belong with the best.

That side is more than capable of tearing Liepzig a new one.
