Surely we can get him confined to a wheelchair for a fraction of the cost?

Ed is obsessed with extracting transfer value, not giving any consideration to how much we’ve lost over the years paying big wages to players who have no future here. Write it off and move on ffs; these players won’t accept market rate for their services unless they’re forced to. if you can get something nominal in exchange it’s a bonus.

Indeed. Let’s commit to an extra £5m+ in wages to maybe get a fee for him.

He’s probably worth more if we sell him now.

How much do they realistically plan on getting for this @#%&!.

Just £#%&! him off, same with Jones, fosu, Rojo ect.. Nobody is offering the cash. Learn the lesson release them and move on.

Fosu not a problem on his £15k per week. We've probably low-balled on wages to something more realistic compared to what we were putting players on.

Rojo - 80k
Jones - 75k
Lingard - 75k
Romero - 70k
Williams - 65k

That's a lot of money for players who are third choice at best.

McTomminay only on 20k

There is obviously more to him not playing. Give the lad a break ffs.

Contracts mean nothing these days, club just protecting it's assets.

Makes a difference to fergie letting experience players be sold for 10 quid and some horse betting tips

but you don't extend a contract of someone who isn't playing at all

Fergie did that as a reward for players who had served him well.

It earned him respect amongst the rest of the team as they knew they'd also be looked after.

Nothing wrong with that.

But this is literally the opposite of that. It's keeping players who aren't wanted in order to recoup a tiny profit margin on what their contracts are worth and we usually don't even manage that.

we pay him for a year would be around £3.9m based on his wages....so we give him a free year thru this extension and then a year from now he leaves on a free anyway

just pissing away that money

The scousers got over £20 million for Rhian Brewster and are looking for the same for Divock Origi

The goblin is as good as either.

Difference is that Brewster was on 10k per week and Origi on 45k.

We should be looking for £10m for TFM while getting a loan deal out of Lingard in January.
