I had a bet with a Liverpool fan who was convinced Pennant would score more than Ronaldo that season. He even printed out a little sheet to track it. Needless to say the sheet disappeared quickly enough and was never brought up again (by him anyway).

To be fair to Pennant he was no Anthony Le Tallec

He’s going to be worth 10/15pts extra to them. I wouldn’t particularly say I’m shit scared but the very real threat of them winning the league makes me sick. They already ruined nearly 2 decades of my life.

The state of the world atm is thoroughly depressing. This is just another example of circumstances allowing a growing and inexorable feeling that corruption is everywhere.

Most of all it gives succour to those for whom conspiracy is behind everything. That in itself is highly disturbing and destabilising.
