Can I admit something?

I wonder at times if I understand football.

Watching the Wolves / Brentford game. That penalty…..

For me it was pure rugby. Nowhere near the ball as the corner came in.

Hey the professional Wolves players looked bemused and befuddled.

So if a player is running in the box, a feather light touch brings him down and everyone says it is a penalty,

As the ball comes from a corner, a pro wrestling move on a player is deemed fair game?

Genuinely need to brush up on the laws.

Anyway - Brentford is well deserved.

Why would you? They got a penalty for the thing you thought they should get a penalty for. Doesn't sound like you're misunderstanding anything.

It's not uncommon to see players protest a decision that goes against their team, even when it is clearly the right call.

When Wolves have come to old trafford in the last two seasons, i have seen them put on a display of some of the worst and most cynical time wasting i've ever witnessed.

I'm pissing myself laughing at their fans foaming at the mouth with rage as Brentford indulge in some top time wasting.

It's obviously been a long time since i've seen anything resembling competent football on a regular basis, but are Brentford actually good?

Who's this Ivan guy? Who's the manager? What's going on?

Clinton Baptiste sent off. Will Brentford completely shit their pants now and lose?

What drama.

I like their boss. Thomas Frank. Danish fella. Dean Smith’s old assistant. Confident, cool hair.

Ivan Tony: 30+ goals in the championship last year. Big, strong target man.

They’re a decent side, seem to have come up with a bit of confidence.

A teenies Dion Dublin? Will we see him presenting Homes Under The Hammer 30 years from now?

BBC describes the last attack and Traore’s career so far:

Traore charges past a series of players but then floats his cross over two unmarked team-mates in the box. So disappointing.’

2 team-mates who were about 3 feet from each other instead of 1 going short & 1 going long to give him something better to aim at.

But how can they even vaguely attempt to defend that?

To be fair, half time analysis was in no doubt but sheesh, the gall on the Wolves team…

Brentford play some tidy stuff, nqat.

One would be having to stand on the sidelines to get to Traore's crosses.

if that lad could put in a cross at something less than supersonic speed, he'd be some player.

Brentford are clearly the best of the promoted sides, which makes it all the sillier that they only went up via the play-offs.

Excellent result for them today after that sickener a week ago.

the most scary team in history have, just like we did a few weeks ago, drawn to southampton.

now can we chill and stop using that result as an indictment of how bad this united side is?
