It doesn't happen very often tbf.

Totally needless dismissal, too.

Psg no?

Fred getting a red when he should have been subbed at HT but… well another Ole mastercalss.

You have to laugh, the manager that usually hates making subs subs Ronaldo at 1-1.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if we got a positive reaction. We’re quite good at that. The issue is that we will have more and more days like this.

We’re addressing problems with the squad, but we’re not addressing any issues with how the team actually plays.

Same old problems, with some new faces.

All we’ve heard about the players coming in how they’ll improve the mentality. We’ve got Ronaldo giving rousing speeches and launching brownies at the wall…. But it’s all hot air. Going down to ten men is a real test of character. We inevitably failed it.

i don't think we do even much work on playing with 11.

certainly not when the other team have the ball anyway, such our utter reluctance to even make life remotely difficult for them.

Nah, we get an idea of a shape and give players vague outlines of their job and then the rest is up to them to make it up as they go.

Indeed. Again, soon as we were down to 10 it went to pieces.

Fair enough being confident you’re not going down to 10, but fail to prepare..

Paris at home last season

When Fred should've been subbed after a tackle he should've been sent of for, but wasn't.

Same story. We made a total balls of it.

Didn’t look happy when he came off

Ole looked to be begging for forgiveness as he walked past him.

Going to 10 is no excuse for playing shit, and especially when it’s the stuff we do with 11 at the best of times.

Chelsea went down to 10 at £#%&!ing Anfield and saw it out fairly comfortably.

He’s 36 and played 90 minutes 3 days ago after very little pre-season. That’s the only reason I can think of.

Taking him off and replacing him with Lingard was stupid. Why not Martial or Mason?

Lingard has not only not left, but now seems to be nestled right back in as an important member of the squad. What we all feared from that West Ham loan is that he’d do well and we’d go “great! Bring him back l!”. In a roundabout way, that is what’s happened. He was dead and gone and we’ve inexplicably given him a lifeline. We’ll be lamenting the same with De Gea, Bailly and Martial in no time too: wondering why these players who continue to let us down keep letting us down.

Ronaldo was probably always going to only play an hour or so, but to bring Lingard on was stupid. He’s not a striker. AND to take Bruno off at the same time, just killed any hope that we might see something special to win the game. Then the option we did send on to win it ends up losing it.

Shite.

Ole has some serious questions to answer if we continue to play so chaotically,

They’ve got to do something about controlling the game, possession and basically not getting bullied in the middle of the park. It’s £#%&!ing horrific to watch

Right. £#%&! it. Bad day at the office. Hype removed. First defeat of the season out of the way, now let’s stop £#%&!ing about and play properly.

The season starts after the international break

Win at West Ham now. Ruthlessly and efficiently. Chelsea, City and Liverpool all would. Then beat Villarreal. Same. No excuses. No apologies. No “we’ll improve. We’ll react”. Just £#%&!ing do it. If you want to be talked about potential title winners and going deep in the CL, then start £#%&!ing showing it.

That was £#%&!ing disgraceful.

In the Ronaldo euphoria it was hidden. It was hidden that we still have one of the worst managers if not the worst manager of a top club.

He is a £#%&!ing joke. Refused to watch any post match stuff, would have kicked the tv in.

Tactically inept.

Compare us with Chelseas second half away at Anfield.

Its an ugly comparison.

Would he survive another cl group stage exit? Would we give him the chance to go and lose another europa final??
