Not much De Gea could've done with that. Maybe could've been a bit quicker and taken an extra step out to close the angle, but the strike was sweet and we'll placed.

So not much, apart from what keepers would normally do

Saw the goal from directly behind him, in line with the shot on the Access all areas vid. He just leaves the far post completely open and defends the near post, he even turns/leans towards his near post rather than the obvious across goal shot, and he could’ve got out quicker. I’m not suggesting he should be saving it btw, he’s got to be making it more difficult though.

….. it was as if Manquillo was Inspector Gadget and had a £#%&!ing water pistol

Dave’s a nice lad but a tart… he’ll be throwing them in again soon enough. Ole needs to get the big lad back in asap

I think the goal we conceded, no matter who was or wasn't to blame, is the kind of chance we are going to concede pushing so far up the field against teams sitting deep, much like some of the chances conceded against Wolves. These are the type of chances City stop with cynical tactical fouls, perhaps we need to play with a little more snide.

I think the player that could have was Shaw when he was initially turned, but he was too busy getting hotdogs that Almiron was gone by the time he got back. Maguire did try and scythe him down tbf to him, he just made an almighty mess of it. No-one else got close enough to Almiron to have a go.

Anyway, back on topic, Varane was class and had no fault in their goal imo. Glides around the back and spread some beautiful passes out wide as well.

He wasn't stretchered off, walked off and not really hobbling.

So should only miss the rest of the season.

Bailly and Lindeløf in this run against all the top sides.

Big yikes.

If it’s bad enough for him to come off in the first half of a final, he’s unlikely to be back six days later.

We are truly £#%&!ed without him back there. Lindelof is decent and has done well, but that £#%&!in clown Bailly next to him? Nope. Nope. Nope.

Looks like a thigh strain of some kind. He was sat on the bench with an ice pack on his right thigh.

Being realistic you'd have to say if it's a significant muscle injury that's 3 weeks plus.

That's probably gonna rule him out of the Leicester, Liverpool games at least.
