Default The Gareth Bale Thread.

I've not been his biggest fan but is this what the "warchest" is for?

He shoots better than he crosses and he crosses better than he tackles.

So basically, he can shoot. Left-footed.

He is a fantastic athlete, has clearly put a lot of work in on his physique. I just wonder if he might be a little one dimensional for this success to last over a long term, not the most subtle player, but he is great to watch.

He's still very young though. He'd develop his game over time, but for the moment, he would be a fantastic addition just as he is now.

I am in two minds over bale.

but he's better than obertan.

i don't know where he rates on the "value" scale, though.

robbie brady rates on the value scale.

To be fair Bale has come a long way in the last year, he's had some great games against the big clubs. Looks like he's improving all the time.

True, and he is an exciting young British player, the type that Fergie has always pushed the boat out for. Not really feasible now though.

You have to give credit to Bale, sticky start at Spurs but has been very impressive over the last year, and a hat trick at the San Siro against the European champions is a hell of the way to announce yourself on the world stage.
