Hard to argue that he's not been proper shit most of his time at the club, but he's almost looked like a different player over the past couple of games. ETH's coaching is coming through now. Even Garnacho's first against West Ham Dalot opened up the space for Garnacho to first receive the ball then cut in for the shot with his movement and positioning off the ball.

And his celebration for Mainoo's winner at Wolves was brilliant.

The narrative around him will shift over the next few weeks. Yhihf.

He’s decent as a back up.

Average player occasionally doesn’t look shite, so gets talked up and given a bumper contract. Get rid.

I'm afraid it's not this. he's doing what he's good at, but we will get caught out.

Basically this. He's fine if we've got absolute zero aspirations to win anything on a consistent basis. Obviously he's not the only player who falls into this category, but he's not even in the top 5 right backs in the league.

The fact AWB is generally preferred to him when fit speaks volumes.

the fact that 10h won't play them both and drop rashford speaks volumes.

He's no finished article, but he absolutely shits on AWB as a footballer & if he plays week in week out the rest of the season I can see him kicking on.

No issue with the positional stuff, he's being told to come into the middle of the park & occupy the space, the CB's & Casemiro should be filling in when he's creating an overload.

I see a higher ceiling, he just needs to play week in week out & create a relationship with his team mates rather than be a square peg in a round hole. Shame Martinez is out as he'd of talked him through games & helped as well.
I agree with all of these

Who’d be a manager, eh?

Always been talented. The issue is concentration. If he can concentrate for 90+ minutes, then he's excellent.

That "clearance" straight to Douglas Luiz though

Those last ditch challenges though

Him and nacho were awfully out of position in the first half, but he normally tidied up, it's a consistency thang with Diogo....

He was very good last night.

Probably our best player.

He's maybe starring to look like the player who was heavily tipped when he was at Porto which is good

He's our best right back, our best left back, and probably our best right and left winger.

And our second best midfielder after Mainoo.

It's getting so obvious even people who don't know ball are beginning to notice.

Which says quite a lot, unfortunately more bad than good on the whole.
