Boring, waffling, sanctimonious, grandstanding £#%&!ers. We'll take the moral high ground and we'll also kick off if we don't get our's.

Robert Webb says something in Peepshow about Justice like

"There. Justice is served. Well, not really justice, but what I wanted to happen, which is basically the same thing".

Most clubs have released a succinct statement with no subtext or suggestion of anything other than 'we accept this. See you soon'.

Of course, they are different. They are special.

How exactly does that work then? City had two games in hand on them, nothing was mathematically certain? As far-fetched as it might have been, they'd be in their rights to complain.

And relegation? What will they do about that?

It will always have an asterisk beside it.

Not a true win.

When your 25 points behind with what 8 games left I don’t think you’re in a position to complain

Liverpool will get awarded the title in some form or other as this season is never being finished however it won’t ever be a proper title that was won on the pitch
Imagine ending 30 years of hurt but not actually winning really and no parade

The chants next season at OT when we play them

Surely they can’t do that. City can still win the league by five points. Liverpool have hit a wall. Nothing is certain.

We’re still going for two trophies, and CL qualification looking likely. Cancelling the season now with all results null and void impacts us as much as anyone. Tough shit for us. Europa again next season. For others (Norwich) they get a lucky break. That’s life. Deal with it.

They can declare Liverpool champions. They can give them the trophy. They still won’t have won the league though.

If they hand that shower of shite the title, it will read:

United 13 PL titles won
Chelsea 5 PL titles won
City 4 PL titles won*
Arsenal 3 PL titles won
Blackburn 1 PL title won
Leicester 1 PL title won
Liverpool 1 PL title awarded*

You can't award anybody anything in a competition that hasn't been completed. I don't care how many points clear they are, however unlikely it may be, there is still the mathematical possibility they won't win it. Horses fall at the final hurdle when being furlongs clear, F1 drivers can crash despite being miles in front, things happen in sport.

To simply void the season but declare them the winners when they haven't actually won it is not right.

Being handed the title when it isn't mathematically certain will just open them up to relentless abuse and mocking. It won't even feel like a real win to them.

They'd be better off saying 'no thanks' and trying to win it properly.

As if they would ever do that. They'll do what they always do and campaign, whinge and whinge until someone in authority buckles.

But if they do that, they have to relegate the bottom 3 & enter the top 4 (5 if Citehs appeal is rightfully binned) into the CL.

Can't be done. Either the season is finished, or cancelled. scrapped & started anew in August.

Until somebody pointed it out the other day I hadn't considered that it isn't as simple as handing them the title.

The whole league placings would need to be resolved or voided.

It isn’t finished and they haven’t won it. It would be like awarding Devon loch the grand national on the home straight. They’re on a bad run, that isn’t beyond the realms of possibility to turn into a total collapse. It’s happened before. It will happen again. It’s not mathematically impossible for them to have lost it. Tough shit.

What if they were two points clear? Give them the title because they’d be really pissed off to have the opportunity taken away? Tough shit. Everyone is having their possibilities taken away. Why should Liverpool get special treatment just because they’re moaning @#%&!s? Everyone has to be treated the same, even if the forum tories disagree.

Points deducted for whatever reason? It's happened before.

Thumbs up

If that's how it works then based on current form I'd say we're favorites for the Europa League and the FA Cup.

Nice little double and Champions League football next season it is then

LIverpool are a special case.

Remember when they somehow won the CL but finished 31st in the PL?

Should have been told to £#%&! off, given their piss poor showing in the league, but were allowed special dispensation.

Wouldn't be surprised if UEFA write off their loss to Atletico and crown them 'probably CL winners 2019'.

No chance they’ll be awarded the title. They have to play City away and their most hated rivals () away, who are finally managed by a top class coach and well overdue a win against them. Arsenal away another fixture which you’d never hedge your bets on...not to mention Villa and Palace who have made Anfield a second home over recent seasons.

It’s a one in 5000 chance, but £#%&!ing it up is still a possibility given they’ve just been stuffed at Watford and are on the back of a calamitous European exit.

If they award them the title do Leicester automatically get awarded CL Football? It would open up so many legal battles across the spectrum of the game. Voiding the season under force majuere is the only possible solution which wouldn’t invoke widespread discontent through the leagues.

Tough shit scouse @#%&!s
