Would make a solid Fred the Red. And not just 'cause he's called Fred.

He’s a bit short for Fred the red, surely?

his best game ever isn't good enough.
Makes you wonder whether some people actually know what they are watching Plain to you and yet others off call it. He was good last night, he'll never be a super midfielder, but how many are?

Usually the ones who play for a club of Utd's stature, tbf.

There aren't that many top class midfielders in the game tbf, probs about 5, or less, in the whole of Europe. All of this lot will start looking better once they have a clear idea of how they should be playing which they look like they are getting.

Come on now. A rising tide lifts all boats but, even then, he’s average.

He scurries round like a terrier and will win you the ball back but largely give it away again. His instructions should be “win the ball back and pass to Cas”

Even his goal was a deflection… the attempt was weak and would have been saved.

Second half he did this half turn (may have megged the Tottenham player) got into space and #@&%!ed up the pass

He had very good moments and some not so good moments yesterday. That’s the most you’ll get. He will never be a first team player but as a 4th choice CM he isn’t bad.

The one second half when he made a fool of Romero(?) on half way then had half a pitch to hit Bruno or Rashford (can’t remember which) and picked out Dier was horrendous.

And then worked his arse off to win it back and we created a chance. Sums him up.

Even with Erikkson and Casemiro, he still makes it into our best XI.

He's not nearly as bad as people make out.

Seen no evidence of that from the manager thus far.
