Yeah and if you’re working in Tesco, you don’t have the luxury of only being in contact with a very small group of people, who have also all been tested for the virus. |

You don’t need to be in physical contact with someone to catch it. Would you rather be paid £9 an hour to have to come into close proximity to the general public, many of who aren’t practising social distancing, for long shifts over 2 months. Or get paid millions to play football for 90 minutes with a small group of fellow professionals with access to the best facilities in the world, all of whom have been pre-screened for the virus. Quote the dilemma eh. |

Totally farcial. In the context of football of course it's financially motivated. It's financially motivated in every other sector as well but I think people see football as less necessary than (for example) construction because it's the entertainment industry, but there's a lot of people in the lower tiers relying on the money football brings in to pay the wages. Of course, what they could do is a full appraisal of the game top to bottom to redistribute the wealth as best they can and ensure clubs don't go under and wages of players and staff alike are covered for all. But neither society nor industry is run like that so it won't happen. |

Do regulations say anything about wearing masks, and regularly washing hands? 'Cos that's the effective method for preventing the spread of disease, not simply standing two metres apart.
Unless I've missed something and we've gone back several centuries to accept miasma theory again |

Pretty sure testing everybody involved would fall under that. |
