If this hasn't been posted before but here are the evidence from Der Speigel that got them banned and if you ask me the evidence look even worse than two year punishment they were given.
https://www.spiegel.de/sport/fussbal...0-000000167278

and since der spiegel explainations are only in ze german: I decided to throw them into google translete and you can read the outcome here below but I would like to applogy since google translate is going to google translate:

In April 2010, City Club Director Simon Pearce wrote an email to a sponsor from Abu Dhabi: Aabar investment firm is to sign a £ 15 million annual agreement. But according to Pearce, "the actual financial payment obligation" for Aabar lies at just three million pounds. The rest was steered from "Euer Highness from Alternative Sources" - obviously a hidden financial spike, shredding spending and predicting higher revenues. On one EIC request, Aabar did not want to comment on the words.

By May 2012, the investment from Abu Dhabi in the club had already cost £ 1.1 billion. The table also mentions the point "Supplement to Abu Dhabi Partnership Deals": These are obviously the payments made to the sponsorship agreements with companies from Abu Dhabi.
DER SPIEGEL

In addition, this internal cost statement reminds us that the hidden payments do not come directly from Scheich, but at least before they should be distributed to the Abu Dhabi companies. The money should be directed to the example "about Etisalat" ("via Etisalat").

The chief financial officer of the United Kingdom asked Club Director Pearce, who ran the financial springs of Scheich Mansour in the United Kingdom. The Abu Dhabi United Development and Investment Group (ADUG) is Mansour's company and its official owner. Pearce replied (underline blue) that the exact path of the money could not be shown. The sister board of the Abu Dhabi sponsor named it "Partner Funding".

The December 2013 e-mail states that ADUG, the club's seat company, the major part of the Etihad sponsorship was carried. The airline, which operates on the players' jerseys, even contributes only £ 8 million to sponsorship.
DER SPIEGEL

In August 2015, the city finance chief listed which sums of Etihad should be paid and which of ADUG. Evidently, Etihad received a bill over £ 67.5 million, of which only "8 million pounds should be paid directly from Etihad and 59.5 million from ADUG". The airline stated on SPIEGEL's request that their financial obligations towards the club had been in the "sole responsibility" of Etihad.

In December 2016, Pearce advised his club manager Mubarak. So, what was the bonus for Ferran Soriano's business manager? Pearce listed points that were obviously not planned to run. For example, the United Kingdom has increased its turnover. This said, however, to return large shares of increased sponsorship from partners from Abu Dhabi. This formulation gives the impression that the economic success of the United Kingdom at the end of 2016 depended on unauthorized financial gains from Abu Dhabi.

It's £#%&!ing awful

At least it features everybodys favorite knock-off Muppet characters, such as Kormit the Frog, Ms Piggly and Frozzie Bear.

CAS are doing the case next week. Can the CAS decision be appealled if city win?

I can't see them throwing it out but maybe a reduction to one year?
