Thumbs down

Martin Keown has taken a break from peeling bananas with his feet and eating fleas from his wife's hair to answer a question about Sanchez:

Would you have called him a mercenary if he had gone to Manchester City for the same money? (@bigsean_jakes)

I would want to play for the best team. Right now, the best team is Manchester City. Pep Guardiola is creating special things on the pitch. His team are breaking records and nobody has started a Premier League season as well as they have.

City had courted Sanchez for so long but he ultimately went to the club that offered him more money. That is why I called him a mercenary. Manchester United are also a huge, super-rich club. This move is fantastic for Jose Mourinho and there is a chance Sanchez could win the Champions League with United this season.

But City are one of the best teams we have ever seen in the Premier League. I do not understand why Sanchez would turn turn his back on them.
City have probably bought him a new tree-house and tyre on a rope for that one.

People “leading the country”

Allowing seagulls to lead them by the nose.

Nothing new there, eh?

I'm hearing 5 month ban.

Hopefully reduced to 3 on appeal.

So a slap on the wrist like City or an 8 month ban like Rio?

It would be typical of our luck (post-Fergie) if he's banned.

Theres no argument, if Sanchez wanted the easy option he would of gone to City. Prem medal straight away and not as many eyes on him.

Don't remember anyone calling shearer a mercenary when he joined Newcastle.

Or any player ever signing for City between 2008 and 2012.

I love how becusee City are currently better (for an incredible half a season) were suddenly a mega rich club and nothing more

So our whole appeal just falls at the knees now due to City winning 17 league games in a row?
