Perisic/a.n. other winger in and play both of them up front then? Not very Jose-like, that. We will need another striker true enough but at £80m and £100m potentially you can't be leaving either one on the bench.

It'll be to get Madrid to get a move on. There's no way Jose spends £80m + on this oaf after binning him off once already.

I £#%&!ing hope anyway.

I'm with the grinch. if lukaku is worth £100mio, I'm making a comeback. we could have agüero or sanchez for that, if we're looking for proven.

agree. don't mind Lukaku at all but don;t see a world's best in him. To think of the options you have at the fees being mentioned and the most imaginative you get is Lukaku?

He'd be shit against teams who employ typical tactics against United. How's he going to help against teams parking the bus? Still, at least we'll be used to his shit first touch after watching rooney this past few years.

Like Fergie signing John Hartson. For a world record fee.

Shit signing. Like some of the shite Liverpool have signed up front over the last decade or so. Average shite for a world record fee, and no doubt paying him 200k+ a week. Modern football. You can shove it.

Hopefully. Given the timing it would make sense this is something Everton has asked for to ease Rooney negotiations. Also helps pressure Madrid. Suits both clubs.

If any word gives an article credibility, it's 'hijack'.

Just can't see this one happening.

Rumours will build and then he'll be there holding a blue Chelsea shirt.

Hopefully

Would be the least exciting striker we've ever signed - apart from Michael Owen possibly.

Should be sponsored by 'Meh'.

He did well in his first season with us to be fair, I'll never forget his goal in the Manchester Derby.
