Football Edinson Roberto Cavani Gómez

Quote:
Although United are not short of forwards, the reason for their interest is two-fold. First, there is a recognition at Old Trafford that the team have lacked dynamism and need an injection of directness and pace in attack. Second, Woodward wants to bring a superstar to the club and his ambition of bringing Cristiano Ronaldo back to Manchester seems a long way away.

Not sure if serious tbh. We’ve had enough problems trying to fit Rooney and RvP in the same team ffs.

Can't we have a midfield superstar, or a wide playing superstar? I'd much prefer that money to be spent on Reus for instance.

Unless a couple of the 4 strikers we have are being £#%&!ed off...

I reckon Chelsea will pay through the nose for Cavani tbh.

They want Diego Costa so doubt they can afford both.

Don't get the Cavani links at all, Robin won't be leaving as he's been in bed with the new boss, the other three I'm not sure about. Be gutted to see Welbeck go, hope he doesn't with a new boss in place. Reckon he'd blossom under Van Gaal.

I think Costa will stay in Spain, can see them getting Cavani though.

Didn't want to let saffers down tbh.

Signing this fella really doesn't make a lot of sense. He wants to be the out & out striker, which is RvP's position and arguably Rooney's preferred role. Woodward needs a slap.

I'm not a fan of Cavani, but his workrate is one of the best in the business. Players who run their heart out shows how much they can give for the fans. What he didn't show in the chelsea game was that his finishing is first class as well. Definitely better than Rooney. Not better than RVP.

He's played out of position ever since he joined PSG and you expect him to set the world alight in the one-off game where he plays as the main striker?

Guaranteed that's the first time you've seen him this season, too. Probably never even watched him in Serie A.
