You have to love the fact that when Madrid are linked he doesn't buy into the circus that the Spanish press want in order to help get the player the move at the cheapest possible price.

Understandable if he wanted to go back to his homeland yet, through some of the shit he's had to endure on the field in recent years, he's still here.

He told people he was off before the summer, and is gutted that Madrid changed their minds/haven't stumped up the cash. But like you said- they wanted him to force it more to get him cheaper etc, and didn't want to do it £#%&! 'em.
