Default Gas rigs

As part of an interview process I have to go on a gas rig for three days and don't really no what to expect and if it goes well i could end up working there for nearly 6months of the year(week on, week off)!

Anyone working or ever worked on a gas rig and if so would you recommend it?

My uncle works on one over in Nigeria. He's worked on them for years now and whenever I'm met him he seems to love it as he's not the office type. I would say though that if you're a big family person you might find it hard not seeing your kids grow up. But it strikes me as one of the last jobs where genuine danger exists which can be exhilerating. It probably is a bit rum but I'd reckon it's like a building site atmosphere where you don't go home each day. There's a book called sometjing like 'Don't tell my mum I work on the rigs' which looks worth a pop.

Good luck and enjoy.

Money's alright too.
