Not that arsed tbh. Nice player, nice guy, nice blog, but I've never seen a United lineup and thought "shit, I secretly wish Mata was playing." Gets subbed before 70mins every time he starts anyway. Thanks for memories etc.

Having said that, contract management is something he should be spending more time on. £100m+ worth of players (what we paid, not what they're worth today) potentially signing pre-contracts with other clubs and rocking the boat in 6 weeks time, in an inflated market - very bizarre.
We have 1 year extensions we can exercise on all the players involved. It's how United structure the contracts and is very sensible. I'm surprised other teams don't do it.

It means we can ditch players like Blind earlier when it's clearly not working out. If they turn out to be good we exercise the option and try and negotiate a longer deal.

Yep, and all the other time he wasn't. But if you don't count those, he has been subbed off at 70 minutes every single time.

Classy player and guy, but not helping his cause by being invisible this season and always leaves the feeling than an upgrade is needed.

Shame because he's a nice player to watch when all is going well.

Well he certainly wouldn’t be dancing around like a £#%&!ing @#%&! that’s for sure. Keano’d probably give him a slap then sign him for Sunderland.
