Red Bull's club in Saxony. Founded in 2009.

Basically a marketing club with little fan participation. They're despised in Germany; oppo fans have refused to travel to their stadium.

They've done four promotions in seven years though and now find themselves in the Bundesliga.

It really is a fairytale.

They've now attracted somewhat of a bandwagon crowd now they're in the Bundesliga, sold 20,000 season tickets apparently. Literally never heard of this Burke chap until today. It's a funny old game Saint.

By fan participation I actually meant within the club in the form of fan power. The owners had to protect themselves against hostile takeovers etc so they've gone against a fundamental aspect of German football culture. In terms of support you imagine they'll be okay.

Read that. They have only 17 members, all of them being Red Bull people you'd imagine. Wolfsbsurg and Leverkusen are run along similar lines apparently.

The likes Wolfsburg, Leverkusen, PSV and BAe Warton FC are essentially workers teams that have grown organically though. RB Leipzig have literally gone around offering money to any old @#%&! and had to settle for a team mainly run by goats by the looks of it.
