Default Lindelof as holding mid ?

IF Matic injury is muscular as Jose says then he could be out for the next 2 vital games. Given Carrick hasn't played & Herrera has been poor so far maybe Lindelof could step forward & play the DM role. He was bought as an intelligent footballing defender who reads the game well so might be the logical option. We will need smart , calm players in these next 2 league games . Even if Matic is fit I wouldn't mind he & Lindelof playing together with Pogs given more of a free reign

Let's take it easy eh?
He has had one good game as part of a back three. Not sure he's ready to destroy City or Arsenal in the middle.
Jose will play a midfield three in both them games I reckon. Pogba, Fellaini and one other (obvs Matic if fit) . Pretty sure it won't be Lindelof.

Could be Herrera to track Ozil, Fellani could be very useful to bully them.

Silly hobbit.

If we have to play one of our defenders there Tuanzabee all day for me. Don’t be £#%&!ing the lad who’s only just got his head back on his shoulders about.

OK, fair points from most so IF Matic & Fro are out who would play midfield , more specifically the holding role ?

I wouldn't be moving Lindelof anywhere, hes now finding his feet.

I'd be playing a back 3 moving forward especially with Rojo in the team

2 upfront one of which has to be Martial

Forgot about that, should stick to natural midfielders, like Alan Smith.

I'm sure he played in midfield for benfica a few times and can also play at right back?

But I start moving him about, he's done well and looks to have his confidence back. He's also been our best defender in the last few games so would rather him stay back there

Obviously if Matic and Fellaini are both out then it might be needs must.

Would not mind seeing him in midfield but it would be far too soon and too highly pressurized to throw him in against arsenal and cittee. Her reminds me of his fellow scandi Ronnie Johnson in build and style, if he were to turn out as good as him it would brilliant. As for the upcoming games it’s time to recall Tuanzebe, he has been shamefully underused this season.
