Can't believe how neglectful Ferguson was with this vulnerable kid. He clearly saw United as the warm, welcoming, stable family he never had, looking up to Fergie as the father he never had, yet young Ravel was cast-off, just like he has been his whole life.

Not surprising at all to see another prodigious talent fall in a society that excludes rather than embraces tormented genius.

He's been charged with common assault, doesn't actually mean he's hit anyone, could have been a push or even a threatening phone call.

Mate of mine got done for similar when he was in City's reserves. Was out in a club and this girl wouldn't leave him and his mates alone, followed him round and harassed him all night despite numerous requests for her to stop made by him and the security, eventually she attacked him outside and he nutted her. Not smart, but pissed at 3am after several hours of harassment and do in an attempt to protect himself and just get her 'to £#%&! off'.

He got 200 hours community service, was all over the papers etc.

West Ham footballer Ravel Morrison has been charged with assaulting two women, police said.

Morrison, 21, of Urmston, is accused of attacking a 19-year old woman outside a bar in Manchester in the early hours of Sunday.

He is further charged with assaulting her and a second woman, aged 39, at an address in Salford hours later.

The footballer is due before Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court later.

A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said: "At about 3.20am on Sunday police were called to an address on Alexandra Road, Peel Green, Salford, following reports a 19-year-old woman and a 39-year-old woman had been assaulted.

"Officers attended and established the young woman had also been assaulted outside a bar in Manchester city centre earlier that evening and a 21-year-old man was subsequently arrested at a later date."

The midfielder was widely tipped to become a Manchester United regular as one of the club's best home-grown prospects in their youth teams.

He was sold by former boss Sir Alex Ferguson to West Ham for £650,000 in January 2012.

He has since been loaned by West Ham to QPR and Birmingham City.

The lad is an utter @#%&!, United dodged a bullet there.
