Default Current squad players LVG could seriously get a change out of?

Every single one of them bar Fellaini

Big 3

Nani
Cleverley
Kagawa

Like 3 new signings.

Remember we need a smaller squad next year, no Europe at all is a huge influence.

We have LvG type players.

This season will be great.

Positive change or negative change?

For the latter, I think the technically limited players will struggle. Smalling, Young, Valencia. Felliani obviously. Not expecting much development from Cleverley either.

Think Evans could flourish.

On the fence with Jones and Welbeck.

smalling and jones will be the new bruce and pallister. smalling is "technically limited" as a right back, not in his correct position. he is a far better central defender than positionally adrift dopey £#%&!wit evans. in fact, smalling is the best defender at the club.

young and valencia, if asked to play in a direct, pacey way, might flourish. valencia is not a tricksy winger. maybe van gaal will have the sense to play him narrow.

you're right about fellaini.

everyone was right about fellaini.

god, what was he thinking. :shakehead:

Fellaini had more than a few supporters on here last year as well, talking about the steel that he would bring to the team. A cameo against Palace and a match against Leverkusen when he was at best decent created something of a buzz around him. Yaya Toure and City soon brought reality to the situation.

Rafael should excel under Van Gaal, instead of being asked to throw crosses in from anywhere in the opposition half he will be allowed to play to his strengths, link up play and late runs. Nani needs to be trusted, a ridiculous talent wasted over the lat 2 years.

Evans

He's very good technically for a centre back but has never been encouraged to play it out from the back even when pressed

Let's be honest he could improve most players in this squad just by how he will get us to play

You are right, one of the best footballing CB's in England. However he has always been fragile when confronted by a powerful striker, can be bullied and loses composure in the rest of his play. He is not a leader, which would make it a concern to go into this season with him as the senior CB.
