charlie savage would've been better as he's not a £#%&!ing moron who thinks bravery is getting a yellow and not showing for the ball.

He was the worst player on the pitch today, which was some feat.

Shaw and Rashford close behind. None of them have got the balls to play for Man United.

How can everyone else see this but no one at the club can?

very true...

a clever midfielder might also run slightly left and square towards the player with yellow boots and drawing the LCB towards him, bruno if he had a brain makes a diagonal run and is slipped in with a reverse pass. 1-0.

nothing intelligent in our play. nothing cute. even in possession theres no theme or rhythm.

The thing with savage and iqbal for that matter is , it’s difficult to throw youngsters in with the United spotlight . ESP if you can tell they’re not ready. You’re hindering their development with all the pressure and such.

It’s different for young strikers as if you miss , nobody will remember too much. You can have 10 goals in 30 games as a teenager and it would seem as a good season.

Try having a teenage CM or CB who make a mistake or two that lead to goals and it’s remembered. The only real option is garner as he has had first team experience with Nottingham. Other than that , they’re £#%&!ed as FDJ isn’t coming. Even if he does come, they don’t have any striker

Pass five yards, run in straight line….so what does he do? AND he should have been sent off. Shockingly poor moment that I can’t believe will go unnoticed by ETH.

We keep insisting that Eriksen and Donny can’t play deep, that garner isn’t ready….but what are the consequences of that? I can’t see how it’s any worse than what these two do to us. They kill us at both ends of the pitch. We were playing quite well in the first five or ten mins, then Fred inevitably gave the ball away in our third and created a problem. The confidence seemed to go from us from there. The Scottish Player’s ineptitude and bluster should have seen us a man down with a quarter of the game gone. Not to mention how we were countlessly overrun in that first half. Eriksen went deeper second half and we improved. Even though that’s not his position.

We simply cannot expect to control games and have any impact at the top end of the league with those two as regular starters. We’ve known this for years and it’s absolutely stunning that it hasn’t been addressed.

Hag has had one proper look at this bastard and sanctioned a move for rabiot.

Eriksen can play deeper; like you say, the moment he went there we looked better as a team. Playing Eriksen as a false 9 was absurd in the first place imo; "we've got no midfield, so why don't we try play without an attack too". Revolutionary stuff

Eriksen doesn’t play that ball that Fred does early in the first half. Donny doesn’t make the decision that The Scottish Player does before he should have been sent off.

We simply have to weigh up the pros and cons and what we see in front of us.

McFred - energetic and tenacious but stupid and shit on the ball.
Eriksen and Donny - lightweight and little slow, but good on the ball and intelligent.

And we KNOW McFred doesn’t work.

I know which I’d go with.

There’s some quote from an opponent about Fred. Can’t remember who it is. Basically says that they targeted him because you can rely on him to give the ball away high up the pitch. That’s why we’re so easy to play against. Teams must just look at those two and say ‘press them’ and half the job is done. Fred, receiving the ball off a centre back as the deepest midfielder lands us in so much trouble.
If it’s a choice of Fred or eriksen I’d want eriksen to play their every time. I just feel like he would be more useful in the final third. But like you said, what do we have to lose, I suppose no point expecting him to be impactful in the final third when the ball doesn’t reach the final third at the right time or position due to shit CMs.

Either way it’s plastering over cracks and we are one game into the new season. Baring in mind they sacked ole in Nov so they had 6/7 months to properly plan - a style, which manager, targets and signings .

Funny how quickly they can make bids and be in for a player when they need to, do the bare minimum all summer and no we are quite possibly might make two signings within a week after the first loss.

Or we start bidding for players that cheap, easier to get and the selling clubs want shut of. Much easier to sign misfits than up and coming stars and established class players.

Chelsea signed the villa Cm for 20 odd million . Supposed to be a player with potential. There are others out there, Recruitment is just piss poor.

Literally all the players they’ve signed have either worked with ETH or from the Dutch league.

He either doesn’t trust the scouts and such at the club or they’ve literally not got any scout reports for him on other players . Either way a club of Manchester United’s size cannot be run like this .

the Dutch league has players that are more hit and miss with how good they are when they come to the premier league..

Hopefully Martinez and malacia hit the ground running as we need them to fast
