Weve not played well once with this formation and we give away a million chances whenever we use it. LvG intent on making 3-5-2 happen in England. If aston villa get loads of chances(they will) then it is proof he has to give it up completely..

Also gutted fletcher starts, would actually prefer fellaini to the scottish zombie. In one sentence our lack of depth in central midfield summed up.

BUT, RvP, Falcao, Mata and Rooney all starting for the first time has to be a positive.

Shows how disgustingly gutless and unreliable our centre backs are when Van Gaal doesn't trust any of them unless they have Carrick babysitting them.

If we had some decent options at the back we could actually play Carrick in midfield, but nope, we have to stick that useless carthorse Evans in there which means Carrick drops back to cover for his inevitable £#%&! ups. :shakehead:

Would honestly have preferred it if we just went 4-4-2 with one of McNair or Blackett partnering Jones; then have Rafael right back and Valencia, Carrick and Rooney in a midfield three behind Mata, Van Persie and Falcao.

Still think we'll win, FWiW, I just hope Benteke doesn't make too much of a mug of that clown Evans.

Valencia and Young were great last week as wing backs

I don't see a great deal wrong with the formation of we don't have any fit full backs

Not much else we can do other than put Fletcher in there if there's no fellaini or Herrera.

Carrick's composure is needed at the back.

I'd be more pissed off if we had other midfielders fit and Fletch got picked.

We should still have enough to beat them. Benteke a threat, but not much else.

They're shit. They've been shit all season. We should win. Simple.

Well that's the thing. If you want those four all starting the width probably needs to come from Valencia and Young, so this system at least gives them a bit more freedom. Plus we didn't exactly play great stuff with 4-3-3 and Adnan and Di Maria on the flanks either

Hopefully Carrick holds the team together and Mata, Wazza, Falcs and the Perse brutalise them at the other end

£#%&!ing Fletcher? Surely it's less of a risk putting Blackett or McNair in the back 3 and putting Carrick in midfield, props to Fletcher for trying to come back but he's been unrelentingly £#%&! every time I've seen him this season, even simple control of a football is beyond him, he makes Fellaini look like Ronaldinho,

Worst thing is if we lose Today LVG will be convinced £#%&!ing Fellaini is the key for the rest of the season.

Straightforward 2-0 victory to us.

2 second half goals, RVP and Falcao.

1st half of major arse seeing on here.

Another good performance from Valencia.

tbf McNair had to be hauled off a few weeks ago after going to pieces.

Says more about Evans than anyone really. He should be a 'senior' player by now and able to manage a back three/four himself. Ridiculous that he needs Carrick to babysit him.

Tbf, he started a lot of game earlier in the season where the whole team was pretty £#%&! and there wasn't much going on ahead of him or behind him. Might be a different prospect now with better form and hopefully some fitness. Let's at least see shall we before hurling a load of shit at a player who is already covered in shit.
