The board have thrown enough money bringing in new players this season. If we canīt make top 4 with all the dosh weīve thrown at it then itīs time to go home.

What extraordinary thinking, we should be ok so let's not do anymore to improve our chances, and hedge against the disaster of failure to get fourth.

It's not about expected. We are where we are, we need players and players will give us a greater chance of getting fourth or higher.

Yes, I expected us to have more points by now.

I also didn't expect our ridiculous run of injuries, being outright robbed of points by officials, or not doing much of our transfer business until the last minute. C'est la vie.

Starting to wonder about Hummels myself. After his performance against France in the summer he looked a must, but the last thing we need is to commit a shitload of money to a crock. And apparently he hasn't played well when he has featured. Would be a big call.

Could argue something similar about Vidal. I bet Juve wish they'd got Ģ40m for him in the summer.

A few sages have been on his case for years, great attacking right back, at 32 you'd think he'd fall into the stopgap category though... however given the state of Rafael's injury record & the alternative being Valencia I'm not averse to the idea.
