Left the house for work this morn at 6am. Made the brew for the car, just about to head out the door, grabbed the coat. Quick decision to throw it on before leaving so as not to feel the chill. Got outside... balmy as f***. I reckon 4 more weeks before we see a touch of frost..

Water bottle, less chance of scalding in bed than a kettle. 2 will warm the bed nicely. Argos have a splendid selection. Don't overfill and make sure the tops properly screwed on. They do a full body one at £20

If the Christmas tree isn't up, the heating isn't on.

The log burner may get lit this week, however.

It's wild how much the temperature can fluctuate at the moment, hasn't really dropped below 18-20 degrees down here during the day, but at friends in Woldingham over the weekend they had a 5 degree morning on Saturday

They live in the proper countryside there though, all woods & sunken plot but still - the thermostat would be fired up to deal with those temps NQAT.

I've not had the Nest on since May here, hoping to hold out til mid-October but it's definitely closing in

Heating set to come on when it drops below 10. That's it, and that's how it'll stay over the winter. We could afford to put it on but I just want to see it through now to prove a point.
