Not on the bench, so he’s probably injured

Both held back, precautionary apparently. Garner only stated training yesterday, Varane had a knock since the dipper game.

Send him back to Ajax, Davy Klaasen style. Part-ex for Antony?

He mentioned slab playing in his interview recently. Just signed Martinez. I can’t imagine varane being 3rd choice CB. Unless Martinez pushes to CM and slab and varane play CB.

If it is slab and Martinez, I can’t see varane accepting a bench position for a team in europa. Guess we will have to wait and see. Ideally slab gets dropped , I don’t think he has the pace to keep up with the high press and deal with counters

Would have liked to have seen Iqbal and Fred partnered together in midfield
Iqbal has outperformed The Scottish Player

Will be interesting to see Malacia play with the A team
Might get a better idea if he’s ready to replace Shaw in the line up and if he can strike up the sort of understanding with Rashford that Shaw has

Varane really is Saha’s successor as Mr Glass
