Default Any of you lot brew your own beer?

I quite fancy giving it a go. Where's the best place to get the gear from etc.

Yup, and there is a thread on it somewhere. I can't be messed searching for it though, the search function never seems to work for me properly

I'm glad it's just me the search function doesn't work for! It depends if you want to brew from kits or from scratch. If you want to brew from scratch i recommend getting yourself this book:

Brew 2 Bottle in Leftwich will sell all the gear and give you good advice on setting it up.

Realise it's miles away but they sponsored our beer festival this year so worth giving them a shout out

Plus you'll not be able to last the full term, end up drinking it two months too early and nearly kill yourself. I'd leave well alone if I was you.

Go for it. Kit beers are fast, piss cheap and some of them are extremely tasty.
