Post Anyone else reckons the draws are fixed?

This discussion has come up before but I genuiely think the FA Cup is sometimes fixed.

Think about it, nothing appealing about opening the the new Wembley with Blackburn Spurs is there? Even Savage thinks it is.

I didn't think there was ever a chance of us "drawing" Chelsea.

What about Blackburn vs Middlesbrough?

I dont think they are fixed, otherwise we'd have played Arsenal, not Millwall in the final a couple of years ago.

Underdog for a change that time?

This time it's the new Wembley so they want a serious match.

It was obviously fixed. Everyone knew we'd avoid Chelsea. The FA want a big final for the new Wembley.

Thought it was rigged when we kept getting Sheff Utd and Leeds all the bastard time. In fact certain it must have been - especially FAC3 94 and LC q/f 92 after the FAC3 draw

The idea that cup draws are fixed - requiring extreme slight of hand, intricate plans and ingenious ways of hiding such subterfuge from live draws - kind of falls apart when you realise it's Ray f***ing Clemence & Trevor Brooking doing it.

I agree. Plus surely the fall out that would occur in being discovered outweighs the benefits of the deception.

I wouldn't put anything past the Italian FA mind you. The difference being that all Italians expect the system to be corrupt. Ergo, even the Italian corrupt system is fair. I think.

with the amount of money involved id be amazed if the draws weren't fixed

However, the FA is so f***ing incompetent that they'd f*** up any fixes.

Everyone in the office did say 'one thing's for certain, Chelsea and United will be kept apart' before it though

Like the avatar. Of course the problem really is that the City players are fit to wear the shirt, it's just that their fans are too blinkered to see it.
