Default A Team that can't beat Reading at Home is....

Pathetic.
So now we enter the UEFA Champions League with more games than we need. Typical United!
Fergie always gets this wrong.
Again there is only one word -

Pathetic

everton? chelsea? united?

or maybe citeh? brum? watford? fulham? sheffield utd?

i mean, how long have you been watching football? surprises happen. teams have to rest players. reading are 6th in the table on merit. or do you expect us to go through the season with a 100% home record in all competitions?

and the answer to your question is 'resting large numbers of players for the cl away game and still creating enough to win by 3 or 4 but not taking their chances'. fergie put out a team easily good enough to win. no-one could foresee that saha and ronnie would c**k up chances like that, or that a perfectly good goal would be disallowed.

Reading deserve a little credit for yesterdays performance, they were a little lucky in the end but were well organised and gave us a good game unlike some of the other clubs that have come to OT and just put everybody behind the ball.

United were pathetic.
We now have to travel to Reading and play another bruising game.
Will Fergie field a stronger side from the start? Eh? Should he? eh?

They're not 6th in the premier league for nothing.

Our first 11 would have won 3-0 comfortably. Coppell rested a lot of players, but we made the bigger mistake by playing a reserve defence and dropping scholesy. We underestimated them and paid the price.

The replay is set for the 27th (though the BBC could change that) so I imagine he will name a stronger team, yes. If it's on the 28th he may not, withthe morning kick off at Anfield on the Saturday to follow.

Let's just hope the extra fixture caused by Larrson's missed sitter doesn't wreck our season like that 0-0 shite 6th Rd draw with Chelsea did a few years back - 1999. (Sorry for repetitiion, but it's a point worth making.)

I thought it was a good save from larsson's effort myself. Louis and ronaldo didn't even hit the f***ing target with their efforts.

It was a good save yeah (tv says Ronaldo's was saved as well btw.) Point is they both should have scored. Especially Larrson for me - super-striker wide open smack in front of goal? No excuse for not scoring really, is there. But he never and they never. Such is life.

Its a funny old world isnt it? You are right and Fergie is wrong, yet by some twist of fate Fergie is the one who has won 34 major trophies and you are ranting on the internet.

Strange.

Hmm. We didn't win, therefore we underestimated the opposition
