He’s got a passion for defending which I didn’t see before this season

On the ball he’s getting better and more composed
Just needs to improve his crosses as that was his best quality when we initially bought him and played him as a right winger
Finally got a proper back four who are well up for it

Barely put a foot wrong the past couple of games. Looks to be improving defensively.

And, you know, created both the goals in 2 x 1-0 wins.

Good point.

Was a really smart ball out of defence to set the attack on its way. Breath of fresh air after years of Shaw and Maguire’s turn inside and pass sideways footballing purgatory.

Naturally the BT commentary was about how bad a goal it was for Leicester, but they didn’t give us the credit for the fast break and the decisiveness.

Marcus Rashford disagrees with that. so does Bruno.

he is good when he doesn’t have to cross the ball to his mentor.

when he can just play one twos and actually get involved in link up play he is good.

when all he has to do is go wide and cross it then it’s a disaster class.

Very solid tonight, and just like Malacia didn't allow a cheap booking to throw him off his game.

Just days after we hear about Ten Hag forcing players to train with their weaker foot

Don't know why he's had so much stick, settling in and looks eager as, way better than shaw on the other side. good on the 121 stuff at the back as well.

Offers nothing going forward, positional sense is the worse I've seen in a defender, not vocal , confident or assured.

I may have to issue Diogo a personal apology if he carries on like he is doing now.

Still very suspect defensively for me but he's massively improved and I no longer worry when I see him in the starting XI

Remember when Ole bought a £50m %@#$&! to play right back and didn't play this kid for 2 years.

I mean, I can laugh about it now.
