I've never seen Nani play live, so can only go by these You Tube clips.

He appears to be a right footed central player, - is he actually being looked at as Scholes' eventual replacement and not Giggs' as we all think?

Alright, if it was Madrid, Milan or Barca then it wouldn't be so hard to take/understand.

But Spurs?

Yes.

Left winger who can also play on the right.

He is basically another Ronnie copy, it's the way they develop all their wingers at Sporting.

Figo, Ronnie, Quaresma, Nani etc They all can play on either wing and can use both feet effectively.

He can also play upfront and as an central attacking midfielder.

He's quick, big and strong so he'll handle the physical side of the game easily.

Man Utd may loan Nani back to Sporting Lisbon
tribalfooball.com - May 30, 2007

Manchester United may sign Nani and immediately loan him back to Sporting Lisbon for next season, it has been revealed.

Portugal's DN says United and Sporting are already in advanced negotiations over the 20 year-old, who has little over a year left on his present contract.

Tottenham have also expressed interest in Nani, but refuse to meet Sporting's £14 million asking price.

United are the only club speaking directly with Sporting and the option of signing Nani to a long-term contract and allowing him to return next season on-loan has not been ruled out by the Premiership champs.

Maybe 'til December, certainly not season long, though I doubt even the former.
